Deep Sea Fishing Charters in West Palm Beach

Honor, Serenity, and a Dignified Farewell at Sea.

Sea Horse Fishing Adventures runs daily deep sea fishing charters out of Riviera Beach, Florida, working the waters from Palm Beach to Jupiter. Trips run four hours, twice a day, starting at $120 per person, and all gear is included. Captain Lee has fished this stretch of coast for over 20 years, and he moves the boat until he finds the bite.

This page covers what a trip actually looks like, what you can expect to catch, and the areas Sea Horse serves. If you want pricing broken down in more detail, see our page on what’s included in a $120 charter.

Sea Horse has held a 4.8 star rating across 100+ Google reviews and a spot in the top 10 percent worldwide on TripAdvisor’s Attractions category. One reviewer put it plainly: “Capt. Lee runs a clean, safe, professional charter, you won’t find a better value for a drift fishing charter, you just won’t.”

What a Trip With Sea Horse
Actually Looks Like

Two Trips a Day

runs 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The afternoon trip runs 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Morning trips tend to fill up with families. Afternoon trips work well if you want a slower start to the day. Both are four hours on the water.

Two Trips a Day

Rods, tackle, bait, and ice are all included at $120 per person. Bring your own food and drinks. There’s an onboard cooler, and you can bring a small personal cooler too.
The crew cleans and bags your catch at the end of the trip. Bring a cooler in your car and take dinner home with you.

Who This Is For

Families, first timers, and serious anglers all fish together on the Sea Horse. The crew helps with everything from baiting hooks to landing fish, which is why the boat works well for kids and people who have never fished before.

One reviewer summed it up this way: “Captain and Mate both work hard to make sure everyone has a good time. We caught a ton of fish, and both adults and 12 year olds had a blast.”

If you want the boat to yourselves, a private charter is available. You get Captain Lee and the full crew with no other anglers on board. Call (561) 254-5124 for pricing and availability.

The Boat

The Sea Horse is a 46 foot custom Markley fishing boat, USCG certified, with room for up to 12 passengers. It has a clean stand up head, soft cushioned benches, a fully cushioned rail, and a covered shade area.

There’s an onboard cooler for your catch. Bring a small personal cooler if you want to keep your own food and drinks cold.

What to Bring

Sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a light layer if you run cold on the water. Bring snacks and drinks since food isn’t included. Closed toe shoes are recommended on deck.
Sea Horse supplies all the rods, tackle, bait, and ice for your catch. You don’t need your own gear or a Florida saltwater fishing license. You’re covered under the boat’s vessel license for the duration of the trip.

Why Local Knowledge Matters

Captain Lee has fished the waters from Palm Beach to Jupiter for over 20 years. He knows how the bite shifts with the tide, where the kings stack up before a front moves through, and which spots most other boats drive right past.

That’s the real difference between Sea Horse and a generic charter. It isn’t the size of the boat or the amount of gear on board. It’s two decades of knowing this specific stretch of water well enough to move the boat to the fish instead of guessing and waiting.

Vacationers and Repeat Visitors

If you’re visiting the Palm Beach area for a few days, a half day on the Sea Horse is an easy way to spend a morning or afternoon, and it gives you a real story to bring home, not just a photo at the dock.
A lot of the people on board have fished with Captain Lee before. Families come back year after year, and the crew tends to remember faces. That kind of repeat business doesn’t happen by accident on a boat that isn’t putting people on fish.

For Serious Anglers

Casual trips and serious fishing aren’t mutually exclusive on the Sea Horse. Captain Lee has spent 20 years learning this fishery, and anglers who know what they’re doing get the same benefit from that knowledge as a first timer does, just applied differently. Ask about seasonal patterns or specific structure and he’ll talk shop the whole way out.

Group and Corporate Trips

Beyond families and individual bookings, the private charter option works well for larger groups, company outings, or any group that wants the boat to themselves rather than sharing it with other anglers. (561) 254-5124. to talk through group size, timing, and pricing.

If the Weather Doesn't Cooperate

Safety comes first on the Sea Horse. If conditions aren’t fishable, Captain Lee will let you know before you drive to the marina. After 20 years on these waters, he knows when to go and when to wait, and he would rather reschedule a trip than run one nobody enjoys.

What You'll Catch Off West Palm Beach

Snapper and Grouper Year Round

Snapper and grouper are the steady producers on this stretch of coast. Both hold on bottom structure off Riviera Beach and Palm Beach, and Captain Lee fishes them year round.
Snapper and grouper straight off the boat, cleaned and bagged, are hard to beat for dinner that night.

Mahi in the Summer

Mahi, also called dolphin, run strong through the Palm Beach to Jupiter corridor in the warmer months. They’re fast, they fight hard, and they’re often the fish that gets a first timer hooked on deep sea fishing.

Wahoo and Kingfish

Wahoo and kingfish both show up on trips out of Riviera Beach at different points in the season, and both put up a real fight once they’re hooked. Captain Lee knows which structure they’re holding on and moves the boat there instead of waiting for them to come to you.

Sailfish, Barracuda, Cobia, and Triggerfish

Sailfish, barracuda, cobia, and triggerfish round out what you might bring up on any given trip. Which ones show up depends on the day, the season, and where the bite is that week.
The species change with the season. What doesn’t change is Captain Lee’s approach: find the fish, don’t wait around for them.

Fishing Charters Around West Palm Beach

Riviera Beach Departure

Sea Horse departs from Safe Harbor New Port Cove Marina, Slip 16, at 255 E 22nd Court in Riviera Beach. Park across the street from the back of the large blue and white marina building, and arrive about 15 minutes before your trip. Parking is in the lot across the street from the back of the large blue and white marina building, easy to spot once you’re on 22nd Court. See our Riviera Beach fishing charters page for more on departing from the marina itself.

Serving Palm Beach to Jupiter

Captain Lee has worked the water from Palm Beach to Jupiter for over 20 years. That range is the core of what makes Sea Horse different. Local knowledge of where the fish stack up, not gear or boat size, is what puts people on fish trip after trip.
If you’re staying further north, our Jupiter fishing charters page covers what a trip looks like from that end of the corridor.

Private Charters

A private charter gives you the whole boat for your group, with more flexibility on timing and fishing focus than a shared trip. It’s a good fit for families, groups of friends, or company outings. Call (561) 254-5124. to talk through pricing and availability with Captain Lee directly.

Burial at Sea Services

Sea Horse also offers a separate burial at sea service off the Riviera Beach coast, for families who want to scatter ashes or hold a memorial at sea. It’s a distinct offering from the fishing charters, handled with its own dignified process, and it uses the same 46 foot Sea Horse vessel under a calm offshore setting. See our burial at sea page for details, or call (561) 254-5124. directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does West Palm Beach Have Good Fishing?
Yes. The Palm Beach to Jupiter corridor holds snapper and grouper year round, plus mahi, wahoo, kingfish, and sailfish depending on the season. Sea Horse holds a 4.8 star rating across 100+ Google reviews, and reviewers consistently mention steady action because Captain Lee moves the boat to find the bite instead of anchoring in one spot.
Shared trips with Sea Horse start at $120 per person, with all gear included. Private charters are priced separately based on group size and trip length. Call (561) 254-5124 for a private charter quote.
Tipping the crew is customary on charter trips, generally in the 15 to 20 percent range of the trip cost, more if the crew went out of their way to put you on fish. It’s a personal decision based on your experience that day.
A shared trip means you’re fishing alongside other anglers, up to 12 people, at a set time and price. A private charter means the whole boat is yours, with more say over timing and what you’re targeting. Call (561) 254-5124 to book either one.

What West Palm Beach Charter Fishing Trips Have to Say

Reviews are a big part of how people find Sea Horse, and they tend to mention the same things. One reviewer wrote: “This is what you will hear many times when going out with Captain Lee, Fish On. He works very hard to find the fish for his fares.

That reputation is why Sea Horse holds a 4.8 star rating across 100+ Google reviews and a top 10 percent worldwide ranking on TripAdvisor. It’s built one trip at a time, over 20 years, not from marketing.

How to Book

Book online through our website, or call (561) 254-5124. to book directly or ask about private charter pricing. Trips depart from Safe Harbor New Port Cove Marina, Slip 16, in Riviera Beach, and it’s best to arrive about 15 minutes before your trip time.

Shared trips are first come, first served by boarding, so booking ahead is the safest way to lock in the morning or afternoon slot you want, especially on weekends. Private charters should be booked further out since they take the boat off the shared schedule entirely.

What Kind of Fishing Charter Tours Does Sea Horse Run?

Sea Horse runs shared deep sea drift fishing trips twice daily, plus private charters for groups that want the boat to themselves. Both are four hour trips departing from Riviera Beach, working the Palm Beach to Jupiter corridor. There’s no inshore or nearshore only option. Every trip is a deep sea drift fishing trip, shared or private.
